We have had every non-sliding window snake on our 2000 Patriot.  None have failed in the sense of fogging up.  SE-GI's have been identified as cheaply made and prone to failure.  I know all of mine have.  I do not know about other makes.  There is a place in Florida that does this work, has a place to park if you live in your rig, that has power, water and sewer.  Their charge is about $200 per window.  I like the idea of Bend as I could get some other things looked at and it is pretty up there.
The website above leads you to a site that has a bad email.  I think he added an extra L to hotmail.  I had it bounce so I dropped the extra L and it seemed to go thru.  Here is the I think corrected email

Sent the email and got a reply very quickly!  Sent a list of windows, he knows Beavers, and got an estimate back very quickly.  I think we will go up in late August and have him do his magic if he can fit us in.  Very smooth thus far.

Now, Mike, don't be runnin' off with the guy that's gotta fix my entry door's foggy window sometime this fall (if we can get outta here).

The thing's been foggy for about 18 months, but this July I noticed a black seal of some kind bowing up between the panes at the bottom, and it's getting worse.  Must be the heat.  All while in "storage" just parked by the house.

Whether you use the things full time or park 'em, they still manage to get new maladys  .

I have to ask....What's so special about the dual pane windows in an RV???  I would think that any decent glass shop could do the jop.

Dual Pane Window repair requires specialized equiptment. Not all glass shops has the equiptment. The window is removed from the RV then the glass is removed from the  frame than the two panes seperated cleaned resealed.

Still, awfully common repair/replacement.  I had dual panes custom made for the house and had no problem finding companies that could do the job and bidding was fierce.  Can't imagine what specialised equipment it takes to cut reseal a couple of panes of glass except a dehumified room, proper sealing material, and some clamps.

Removing a window and replacing with another is easy and  the cost over $1000 per window in an RV application. Any glass company can do it.

Taking the glass out seperating the two panes resealing and replacing the gas/dry air for $200 or so per window requires a trained craftsman and special equiptment.

Not all RV windows are standarized sizes so are not "in stock" and cheaper like house windows.

And I don't imagine RV windows are built precisely like double-pane house windows.  House windows don't bounce down the road all the time, subject to constant vibration.  Even with the added build expense involved to deal with that, RV windows obviously still lose their seal;  especially entry door windows where the door gets slammed on occasion.

There was a time a couple of years ago when the site or his email had a glitch, but I'm sure he's fixed that.

Did finally manage to load the page after several tries. Not sure what the deal is. Anyway, sounds like the man of choice for our creepy windows. I see a Bend run come Spring.
