We are new to the forum and ownership of a BEAVER Coach. Our's is a 1992 Prevost XL 40ft Conversion. As some may know, Beaver converted Prevost Bus Shells in the early years of the 1990's. Talking with the folks in Bend, Ore, most, if not all information on the busses has been lost. With the help of Iris, Membership Director, and Ty Kelly at Beaver Coach Sales, Bend, we have located a 1/2 dozen or so coaches. Anyone out there with knowledge of the bus conversions or owns one, please let me know. Known Beaver Conversions, are: Bus #1, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25, 26 (26 was on Ebay, unsold),and #34. We are Number 34. No one knows for sure how many were built, and how many are left. There was one a month ago at the Prevost Service faciility in Mira Loma CA,. It was towed in having been bought at an auction sight unseen, It was a mess, and Beaver coach number unknown Since all historical information was lost when Monaco took over Beaver, we will need to support each other. Thanks.
Yippee!! Courtesy of an contact Iris has made, Marcus Vucinovic was able to shed light on some coach conversion history. There were a total of 34 Beaver Bus conversions, Our "Number 34" was actually the 2nd to the last to be completed In the final days of conversion, Marcus said #34 was pushed ahead of coach #33 and sent to Texas to the original/first owners. So, numerically our's is the last, but not the last to be completed.
An update on the Beaver Bus search. 1st, Prevost upon inquiring sent me the VIN nimbers of all the shells sent to Beaver from Quebec. Currently, a few more Xl 40ft Beaver Busses have been located, its number identified, and owners talked to. They are" Busses: #1,6,8,9,10,12,18,19,21,24,25,26,27,34. Bus Number 29 was seen going over the auction block in February 2010, in Fontana Ca, sale unkonwn, owner unknown. Close to 50% of the busses have been identified. For a type of recreational vehicle with such small production numbers, I think this quite a fleet so far. Some of the idenitified coaches are BAC members. Busses #6 and #26 are definitiely for sale, and Bus #9 is considering. Anyone interested let me know.
Hey Jim, I see your still on your quest to locate all the Beaver Bus Conversions. I think it is a worthwhile project. I'm impressed that you have located as many as you have, well done. I'll be watching your progress with interest.
Thanks Elliott. Ty and Iris have been a big help! You getting me in contact with TyKelly at Beaver Coach Sales was great platform to jump from. And Iris, oh boy, has she been a tireless library of goodies that got me off to a running start., Many thanks, for the kudo's, but you all have a hand in this. Thanks
Perhaps you have the following information on "Buses" and Iris certainly has as much information as the Library of Congress has books , especially when it comes to Beaver Coaches. You don't list the owners, with coach numbers, so perhaps you have the following; Don and Nancy Walker have a '91 bus, but don't know the number. If you have this info then all this is for naught. Goodluck
Thanks M Canales. the Walkers have Bus 9. We met Nancy at ORA Indio in Feb.. Don was out of town. Adding a few more coaches to our list. Iris is the one that really got me started after joined the BAC. We were at POG rally in OKC last Oct. and met Beaver bus 21 adn 25. POG is Prevost owners Group. It s a loose knit group of bus owners and anyone else that wants to join in. Here goes the list so far:

The mystery bus is #3
THE PREVIOUS POST HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH THE LATEST INFO> Now we are up to 20 Prevost Beavers identified. The last post gives the list, now an update. Bus 29 now has a name, Joe Idoni, and will most likely join the BAC. this is the Bus that sold at Ca Auction several months ago, and now is back, yes back, in Maryland. A former owner, Wayne Knight used to own this coach maybe in Perry Hall MD. Now its in Gaithersburg. The mystery Bus is Bus #3. The former owner, Art Hopson said the coach sold last year and went to Ohio from m\Maryland. This coach is very unique for several reasons. John Oliveira and Buddy Greg ordered this shell with every comceiveable Prevost option and then Beaver optioned it out totally. It was then a show coach at an RV show in Sacramento in 1991. This coach has 8 house batteries and 2 full sized generators. The original owner who bought Bus #3 after the RV show, had a past coach which had genset failure while in the AZ desert resulting in no A/C. I was told, the owner said never again, so that is why Bus #3 has 2 gensets in case of failure of the 1st one. So far so good.
Two posts above this one is the Beaver Bus Prevost XL list. BUS Number #9 is offoically FOR SALE. Anyone with interest can contact me for the owners info. Or email owner Nwalker344@gmail.com
Mike, it is not listed on the BAC. They are not a member of the BAC. You can call Don and Nancy Walker at 916-871-2085. They are from Sacramento, and currently at Ourdoor Resorts Indio, Ca
Was just called back by Beaver Bus #30. Les Byrd will call me back to chat about busses later this week. That makes a total of 21 busses identirfied out or 33 yeh!
New Ebay listing of what has turned out to be Beaver Bus #28. The owner is the grandson of the original owner. They are selling due to lack of time to use. At 60,000 miles, it is in pristine like new condiiton.
