We would like to buy some touch-up paint for a 2001 Patriot, Princeton Model.  Anyone know where we could find any?

My 2003 Monterey was painted with R&M Diamont. I found the paint codes on the inside of a cabinet door in the kitchen so I found a D&M Diamont dealer, gave them the codes and they mixed up four bottles of touch up for me. I believe it cost me around $50.00 for all four colors. They came in a bottle with a brush in the cap.

I'd recommend going to a paint mixing shop as your coach may have faded making the color codes a bit off.  You can ask any bodyman where to go for the mix.  Just a thought.  I took in my refer cover and had it matched.

I had to do some paint repairs when I found a crack over the driver's seat area on the curve of the roof. Apparently the prior owner had hit something, and instead of re-glasing the damage, just had it "Bondo'd" and painted. I ground everything back to good fiberglas, patched the hole with resin and mat/cloth, then painted the area. You should have a paint chart in your owner's package that lists the different paint codes for your coach. The only problem I had was finding a supplier for that brand of paint. You might have to call several auto body supply stores to find R&M Diamont. It isn't as common as Dupont. BTW, I had 1/2 pint mixed up for the patch and used a small "touch-up" paint sprayer to do the job, buffed it out after drying and followed by an aerosal "clear coat".

I took the paint numbers from my cabinet door by the microwave and called the Diamont Dealer which is what the label says is the mfg.
They had no idea what I was talking about with my numbers for my 01 Marquis.

I called parts at Bend Service and they said all that info went over to Monaco.

I called Monaco. They said they no longer had any of the pre 2002 records. (They tossed them in a dumpster during the BK)

I called Bend Parts again and asked them where they bought the paint, it just so happens that they purchased the paint from Industrial Finish in Bend. They are the Diamont Dealer. They gave me the number to call.

I called Industrial Finish and spoke to Warren at 541 388-7372 and gave him the numbers from my coach. He couldn't make heads or tails of the numbers.
He said Beaver Mfg., in it's day would often put the wrong paint info in the coaches. Warren said they were very often sending owners paint based on the numbers the owners gave them, only to find it was the incorrect color.

I emailed Warren a very crisp color photo of the exterior of my coach and he was able to give me the exact Diamont colors that match my coach.

What an adventure.

Warren is a great guy and a life saver.
