Joel mentioned in his recent post the wisdom of having the model, year and engine information in your signature.  Readers of your posts often guess at problem resolutions or, worse yet, don't bother to address them because they have no idea what coach you are asking about.  

If everyone would take a minute and put a permanent signature in your profile with the above information it would really make things easier for everyone and improve the quality of the information you receive.

Here is how to do it:

Click on the "Member Center" box located under "Help Yourself - Add a Signature!" at the top of this page.  Not the sort of big letter "Help Yourself...." right above this but the really big one at the very tip top.  You might have to scroll up to get there.  Clicking on "Member Center" will take you to a page called "Member Center".

Looking down the left column on that page you will find your name , then under that "Private Messaging" on a blue strip, then a second blue strip that says "Edit Profile".  Under "Edit Profile" click on the word "Signature".

A box, much like the one you use to write your posts on will appear.  Fill in the signature information that you wish to use, including model, year and engine in that box and click the save button located below it.  

Just that easily, every post that you put up from now on will have your signature with your coach information included.  Everyone who reads them will smile and be grateful!    

As an alternative, you can go to Member Center.
In the left column, select Edit Profile.
Under Profile Information, Post your coach data in the Personal Message box.

That will always appear in the left column of your post.

Ah, yes.  But there are some space constrictions involved, so be prepared to be very concise.  The large field available at the "Signature" area for entering your information does not mean it will let you exactly fill it up!  50 characters and spaces only.

Not only that but any characters utilized for html count as a part of the 50 ie; trying to do your name in bold and then list the coach and engine won't work unless you have a short name and short coach name.

The signature size has been increased to 75 characters.  This should allow for more information without being too large.
