In our town recently there was a motorhome that lost its brakes and upended in a gully.  Oddly enough everyone survived but the driver.  Passangers said that he might have been ok had the storage and appliances been put away properly. All that loose stuff hit the driver.
This makes me think of the counter covers in the kitchen.  What do you folks do with them while traveling, leave them in place or store them away?

As a side note, ours say Beaver but don't quite fit.  They are not warped.  Is there a way of shaving Fountainhead like a router or some such?

Fountainhead is the same material as Corian ad like most solid materials you can use tools to shape them as long as they are not overheated. We had several spots repaired on ours by a factory trained technician and you can not even see where the repairs were made.
