Hello everyone, I have seen an ABS warning light come on, and was thinking this may be common.  The light will go out after we stop and shut down the power.  After the re-start, we have no indication light, so we seem good to go.

The problem light appears after a long down hill grade.  We use the exhaust brake during the decent and no brakes, but after a 2-3 mile grade, I have seen the ABS light. It's only happen 2-3 times in 8-9000 miles, I feel it's not significant, but thought I would see if others have seen the same issue?

Jerry

Jerry, I've not had my abs light come on under your conditions. Mine my abs & atc lights have come on but under wet conditions. The system resets itself, assuming no problems, after you reach 15 mph, as I understand it.

Thanks John, I will keep an eye on the problem.  Like I said, it's only happen a couple of times.  If it develpos into more of an issue, I will have the sensor checked out.  How would you know which sensor is a problem?

THE GUYS AT FREIGHTLINER SAY THERE IS AN UMBILLICAL THEY PLUG THEIR COMPUTER INTO THAT GIVES A REPORT ON THE FAULT CODES FROM EACH SENSOR, TELLING THEM WHICH ONE IT IS.
