Hey all
Has anyone heard of a water cooled alternator?
Sounds crazy, but was mentioned to me by a truck mechanic.
I like the logic Ed brings up, about the air flow.
Can one had some type of extra cooling fan?
Cheers

In the marine industry many alternators are equipped with external regulators to limit their current, allow for float charging, and to prevent alternator over heating.  I assume because so many coaches have generators is why the RV industry hasn't to my knowledge embraced external smart regulators.
